Based on this theme for January-February:
Carol created this postcard:
In Carol’s words:
It took me three weeks to even decide on a design but once I got going I enjoyed stitching it. The fabric for my ‘G’ came from my stash of fat quarters (‘G’ for grass & green) & so of course I chose grain to stitch – another ‘G’ word. The grasshoppers looked pretty dull by the time they were done so I used some rayon thread for their wings to help lighten them up. The painted background silk was a failure left over from a previous project, so great that I could finally use it!
My daughter thinks I should stitch a child’s book but trust me that is not going to happen! Can you imagine doing 26 alphabet postcards!?!
